K-Classic, join hands with K-pop…Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra’s SM Entertainment Business Agreement

The Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra announced on the 12th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SM Entertainment on “expanding and developing cultural contents through collaboration between genres.”

It is the first time that a local orchestra and a leading K-pop entertainment company have signed a business agreement. The Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and SM Entertainment plan to lead the development of Korean cultural contents by informing the world of the excellence of K-Classic and K-pop and presenting differentiated contents beyond genres.

It’s a meeting between classical music and pop. This means that you can listen to EXO’s songs in classical music. In fact, SM Entertainment’s released songs, arranged by the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, will be released on SM Station in July.

It would be nice to have a classic version of Red Velvet’s “Psycho.”
